Black Art Today Inc. dba The Black Art Today Foundation proudly announces that it is the recipient of a Fiscal Year 2027 operating grant from the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC). Awarded through MSAC’s Grants for Organizations (GFO) program, this marks the second consecutive year the foundation has received this pivotal state funding, building upon its initial grant secured in October 2025. “We are profoundly thankful to the Maryland State Arts Council for their steadfast support and continued belief in our vision,” said Alicia B Clark, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President. “Achieving this milestone alongside my co-founder, Lisa A. Lumford Clark, empowers us to expand our exhibition curation and deepen our commitment to artist cohort development across Maryland.”
The funding will provide vital operational backing as the foundation continues to connect communities with exceptional art and curate impactful cultural experiences. About the Grants for Organizations (GFO) Program The Grants for Organizations (GFO) program provides general operating support to nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, as well as units of government, that produce or present ongoing arts programming that is open to the public.
